Prenda’s longest running monster lawsuit (to my memory) finally bit the dust last week. Filed in TXSD back on 12-20-2011 the case is Millennium v. Doe (plus 938 “co-conspirators”) at docket 11-cv-4501. The lawsuit was originally dismissed without prejudice on 12-14-2012 http://www.archive.org/download/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815.123.0.pdf which would have allowed Prenda to either threaten Does with a refiling or actually refile suit. However, famed Doe Defenders Booth & Sweet filed a motion to alter the Order of Dismissal to make it one “with prejudice so that such a refiling could not occur.http://www.archive.org/download/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815.126.0.pdf While the motion was pending another attorney wrote the judge to complain that a “Jeff Schultz” was threatening to refile the lawsuit against his client.http://www.archive.org/download/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815.131.0.pdf On 2-19-2013 Judge Gilmore altered the Order of Dismissal to one “with prejudice”. http://www.archive.org/download/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815/gov.uscourts.txsd.940815.134.0.pdf If you are one of the “co-conspirators” in that lawsuit you are now off the hook.

I’m sure they wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to assuage his concerns, dispel the rumors and conspiracy theories, and thus strengthen their awesomely bulletproof amazing scheme.

I’m waiting breathlessly for RECAP links to go up but judging by today’s chatter on Twitter it sounds like we can check Prenda, Steele | Hansmeier, Whoever, off the list. I read some things about a criminal referral to the IRS, $81K in sanctions, referral to every bar they have cases in front of, referral to the US Attorney for the Central District of California…
Basically, it sounds like a number of people just got welcomed to the Big Leagues.

Holy shit! How can they claim defamation now?! The word fraud, RICO, etc. is used all throughout the order. I would think Wright basically killed the defamation suit with this too. Kudos to everyone who shed light on Prenda’s extortion scheme. I hope these clowns are disbarred and brought up on tax evasion charges.

Oh wow, Brett Gibbs was scheduled to get back from his honeymoon today, according to Duffy and Steele’s excusemaking in Florida.
It is as if Wright was watching their shenanigans in other cases and decided to give him a late wedding present.
